Auto-threads
Keep busy channels organised. Automatically open a thread on each new message in the channels you choose, perfect for help desks, media shares, and suggestion feeds.
Where to find it: run
/config Category dropdown Automation Auto-threads. Toggle the module on first. How it works
You add an auto-thread to one or more channels and give the thread a name template. Every qualifying message then gets its own thread, so replies stay tidy instead of scrolling past in the main channel.
Good to know
Use the Blacklist to exempt staff so their messages don't spawn threads. Bot and webhook messages are skipped by default, switch Ignore Bots off if you want threads on those too (for example a feed posted by another bot).
Create your first auto-thread
- Choose Add Thread and select the channel(s) to auto-thread.
- Set the thread name template used for each new thread.
- (Optional) Set the Listener (when to thread), add a Blacklist, or turn on Embed / Auto Delete.
Reference: all settings
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Add / Edit / Remove Thread | Manage which channels auto-thread and the thread name format. |
| Blacklist | Roles and users whose messages won’t create a thread. |
| Listener | Choose when a thread is created. |
| Embed | Place messages inside an embed. |
| Auto Delete | Delete the thread when its original message is deleted. |
| Ignore Bots | On by default: messages from bots and webhooks don’t get a thread. Turn it off to thread them too. |
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Fix |
|---|---|
| No threads are created | Confirm the channel is added and the bot has Create Public Threads there. |
| Staff messages spawn threads | Add their role to the Blacklist. |
| Another bot’s posts get no thread | Turn off Ignore Bots so bot and webhook messages are threaded too. |
