Welcomer

Greet new members when they join, announce when someone leaves, send a private welcome DM, hand out roles automatically, and even restore roles to members who rejoin.

Where to find it: run /config Category dropdown Community Welcomer. Toggle the module on first.

How it's organised

Welcomer handles two events, Joins and Leaves: plus a few join-only extras (DMs and roles). Most settings ask you to tick Joins, Leaves, or both, so one setting can cover both events at once.

Good to know

A join/leave announcement needs two things: a channel to post in, and a message to post. Set both or nothing appears.

Set up your first welcome message

Choose Channel. Tick Joins (and Leaves if you also want a goodbye), then pick the channel to announce in, e.g. #welcome.
Choose Message. Again tick Joins, then write the embed. Use placeholders like the member mention so it feels personal.
That's it, the next member to join gets greeted. Want a goodbye too? Repeat with Leaves ticked.

The bot needs View Channel, Send Messages, and Embed Links in the announce channel, or it can't post.

Optional extras

DM Message

Send a private welcome to each new member's DMs. Great for rules or a friendly intro they can't miss in a busy channel. (Only works for members who allow DMs from the server.)

Add Roles (auto-role)

Automatically give chosen roles to everyone who joins, for example a Member role that unlocks the server. The bot's own role must be above the roles it hands out.

Restore Roles

If a member leaves and comes back, give them their old roles again. You can blacklist specific roles from ever being restored, and turn on Sanitize so that dangerous (admin/mod) permissions are never re-added automatically.

Restore Roles	Rejoins	Give returning members their previous roles back. Supports a blacklist and sanitize (skip dangerous perms).

Troubleshooting

Problem	Fix
No welcome message appears	Make sure BOTH a Channel and a Message are set for Joins, and the bot can post in that channel.
Auto-role isn’t applied	Move the bot’s role above the role it’s trying to give (role hierarchy).
DM never arrives	The member has DMs from server members turned off, nothing the bot can do.
Restored roles include mod perms	Turn on Sanitize under Restore Roles so risky roles are skipped.
