Miscellaneous Module

Music

Play music in voice channels. Set where it can play, the default volume, who can control it, and whether skipping needs a vote.

Where to find it: run /config Category dropdown Miscellaneous Music. Toggle the module on first.

How it works

Members queue and play tracks with the music commands. You can restrict the player to a specific voice channel and command channel, set a default volume, and enable vote skip so no one person can hijack the queue.

Good to know

Restrict the music commands to one text channel to keep song requests out of general chat.

Recommended setup

  1. Music Channels: set the voice channel to play in and the text channel for commands.
  2. Volume: set a sensible default volume.
  3. (Optional) Enable Vote Skip and set command Permissions (blacklist / skip roles).

VolumeThe default playback volume.
Vote SkipRequire a vote to skip the current track.
PermissionsRoles blacklisted from playing, and roles allowed to skip.

Music commands

CommandWhat it does
/music playPlay a song, or a whole playlist with the playlist option. Joins your voice channel.
/music stopStop playback, and optionally leave the voice channel.
/music skipSkip the current track. With Vote Skip on, only the member who requested the song can skip it straight away, everyone else has to vote.
/music queueShow what’s playing and what’s up next.
/music shuffleShuffle the upcoming songs. The current track keeps playing. Needs at least 2 songs waiting.
If skip roles are set under Permissions, only those roles can shuffle the queue too.

Troubleshooting

ProblemFix
Bot won’t playCheck it can join and speak in the allowed voice channel, and you’re using the right command channel.
One person keeps skippingEnable Vote Skip.
“There needs to be at least 2 upcoming songs to shuffle”Queue more songs first, shuffling only reorders what’s waiting.
